Documenting the Contents in a Kitchen with DocuSketch
When you need to capture what's inside a cabinet, drawer, or storage space, this method takes less than a minute and gives you a complete record.
The Process
- Open the cabinet or storage space.
- Hard hold on your phone to open the camera app.
- Take a photo of the contents.
- Select the contents comment type. You'll see five comment options. Choose the one labeled contents.
- Use talk-to-text to list what's there. Just speak naturally. "Four pint glasses, four juice glasses, straws." Whatever is in the space.
- Save and move on.
Why It Works
The photo gives you a visual record. The voice note gives you a written inventory. Together they create documentation that's fast to capture and easy for anyone to review later, whether that's an adjuster, a client, or your own team.
Use this on every cabinet, bathroom, closet, or storage area on a job and your contents documentation will be thorough and dispute-proof.
